Nostalgic Much?

This is kind of a post about nothing in particular... So for everyone who is expecting something interesting and exciting about my life than you had better stop reading. I woke up this morning feeling kinda weird. I had this urge to look through old Photo Albums and remember old times. Before marraige and family, you know when life was a bit more interesting*. You never really knew what was going to happen and how life was going to turn out. You always had the opportunity to make new friends and for some reason it was a lot easier then, than it is now. Maybe this has all been brought on because I've finally come in contact with an old roomate from Florida. I've been searching for her for a while now and now that we've been reconnected, I've realized how nice it would be if I could keep in touch with people from my past. As most of you who know me have probably realized this is not something I excell at, but I've officially made it a goal to try and get in contact with old roomates and dear old friends. I love the Blogging world because I have actually been able to do that with a few very special people. Now I just need to find the rest of them!

*I realize this might sound like I'm putting down married life, and I just want the world to know what I mean by that. I am married to the perfect guy. Which unfortunately doesn't leave a lot of room for suprise and excitement. ButI love him to death and I wouldn't do anything different if I had the chance. I love knowing that I have him for the rest of forever. I rely on him way too much, and he is so good to me. I like having someone to share all that is to come with. I still don't know where life may lead us, but at least I know who I'll be with a long the way. It does take a little of the excitement out of it. I guess it's like finding out the end of a story too quickly, but as I've heard many times... Life is full of chapters, and finding Matt was just the end of one of them. Now we get to write the rest of our story together. Wow, do I sound cheesy or what!? I think I have low blood sugar or something. I'm gonna go eat something.

For everyone who just checks this for pictures of the little guy, here a a couple cuddly ones. He has been extra cuddly lately, even to the point of faling asleep in my lap. I love it when he does that. He must think that Blogging is boring or something!

To the Zoo we go!

On Saturday we finally (and I mean finally...) went to the zoo! The Tautphaus Park Zoo in Idaho Falls is the perfect size for a toddler, seriously we did the whole thing in and hour anda half, and it was in the morning before Jonas took his nap so we didn't feel like we wasted the whole day waiting to go to the zoo. I think Jonas liked it although the majority of the time he was expressionless. Oh well, he did get a kick out of the Lemurs. I think they were Lemurs. And he really liked the goats. I he wasn't u[set about being there so that is a plus! I think he'd like it better if all the animals were moving around but as usual they were just sitting around! Anyway we did get to see the baby Lions, and the Tiger that was hiding last time Matt and I went, like 4 years ago. Anyway it was a good day and Jonas took a really long nap when we got home. Anyway here are a few shots of the day!

This Baby Lemur was so funny! It's pretty noisy but you can hear Jonas laughing at it. This made the whole trip worth it!

= UH OH!

Plus

Any suggestions on what to do when your kid swallows a dime?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I recently took part in a blog swap hosted by this cute girl! I've never done anything of the sort but let me tell you this... Getting mail is the greatest thing in the world. I think it's even better than getting comments on your blog! And what is better than getting mail? How about getting a whole package full of goodies to enjoy! This woman who was assigned to me is so sweet and she sent me the best package! Thanks so much Michelle! This woman is obviously very talented and even though she doesn't know me, she picked so many things I enjoy so much! Including Candy, because I have a major sweet tooth, a gift certificate for JITB, which I used last night and treated the family to Chocolate shakes that she recommended (they were divine BTW), a book, Which I have already finished. I love a good read and especially one that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It was an inspiring story. She also included a puzzle book. I have personally never tried Sudoku, and so far I'm not very good, but the challenge is just what I need to get my mind moving! Last, but most definitely not least is one of her adorable hand made bags! The details are so cute and I love it! Just perfect for keeping Jonas' tiny fingers away from my scissors! Thanks again Michelle! I hope to one day be as talented as you.

Welcome Home Uncle Mike!

Well, we are home from a wonderful (Hot) trip in Las Vegas!! We left Super early (3 am) on Wednesday so we could suprise everyone and see Mike get off the plane from New York! It was a busy and very fun week and Jonas was an Angel the whole time! I know sometimes I complain that he isn't very attached to us but I think I prefer it. It's nice not having to worry about him getting passed from person to person because he loves it! Just give this kid your undivided attention and he is in heaven! Anyway Mike we are so glad you're back!
Now go grow up... Or not!
Uncle Mike meeting his Nephew for the first time! I don't think either of them knew how to react! But by the end of the week they were great pals!Jonas loved Mikes balloons!
Helping carry the banner...The balloons again... It was great because we always knew where he was in the busy airport.Jonas had his first experience on a trampoline too! I wish we had a place for one because he had a blast! And it wore him out, after an evening on this he slept until amost 9 am the next morning.Oh and I cut my hair. This isn't a great shot of it, but I really like it (thanks again Stephanie!). I'll post about my hair another day.

Suprise Mail and another critter!

We are about to take off to Vegas for an extended weekend but first I thought I would do a quick post before we leave. Again not to much has been going on. But we did have a couple surprises this weekend! On Sunday we took our traditional walk around, and also locked ourselves out of our house!! Anyway while trying to wrangle up another key, we ended up spotting this fella! I have never seen one in real life before, well except at bird places and maybe a zoo I think. Anyway it was totally cool! I didn't realize how big they were until he spread his wings to fly away!! Jonas has been totally enthralled by all the little birds that hang around on our lawn, it rained last night so all the birds are picking at the worms and Jonas can't get enough of watching them, he has been at the window all morning!
Also I received a package in the mail on Monday which wasn't really unexpected because I've been waiting for it for a few weeks now, I was just delighted to find, along with the sweater my mom sent (thank you Mom!!), 3 pictures lovingly colored for me from my very sweet Niece and Nephew!! Thank you Hadley and Rawley, I have them proudly displayed on my refrigerator right now!! Anyway not too much, but enough to make me want to tell the world! Also Rob, I'm pretty sure Matt wanted to show you this!
Anyway we are off to enjoy some especially warm weather, and see a long lost someone whom we have missed terribly for the last two years *wink*. Actually I think he was far from lost, I'm pretty sure he knew exactly where he was and the great work he was doing! He probably wont read this but, Uncle Mike, we are so excited to see you and can't wait for Jonas to finally meet you!

Lazy and Boring...

That is what we have been for the past week or so, nothing has really happened and the rain has been no fun. We did have a couple days of sunshine but nothing really awesome happened. I guess here are just a couple of shots over the last week, although it has been so boring I still managed to get the camera out.

For everyone who knew us as new parents, you all know how we didn't want Jonas to watch a lot of T.V., so instead he watches a lot of movies. Anyway I don't think there's really a difference between the two because he looks spaced out no matter what he watches!Jonas went through a two day phase, whenever he would let Wyatt out of his kennel, he would crawl in. He only did it a few times so I'm glad I got a picture of it!Trying to walk in Moms moose slippers. On one sunny occasion we decided to go out and eat some of the watermelon thats been sitting in the fridge since our rained out picnic, it was yummy! We went and checked out the stage for one of the shows, Jonas thought is was pretty cool, but I think he just liked the attention he was getting from the people there. We can't forget shots from our traditional Sunday walk!
Oh and on Monday we went to the sand dunes so Matt could try and take a picture of dirt. I don't think he got the shot he wanted but man oh man did we have fun getting dirty. It wasreally windy but we still survived. We're totally going back when the wind isn't blowing so hard.
